The American Revolution Experience (ARE) summer 2026

As the USA celebrates our 250th birthday, we invite you to explore the stories behind America’s founding—not just in familiar places like Boston and Philadelphia, and not just what you might have learned in school, but in the often-overlooked connections, people, and stories that reach all the way to Texas and the Gulf Coast.

At The American Revolution Experience, you will not only experience the amazing, award-winning traveling exhibit from American Battlefield Trust and the Daughters of the American Revolution, but you will enjoy it Texas-style as we bring in additional elements that tie Texas’ past directly to the founding of the United States of America we are celebrating! We are proud to open our exhibit on Juneteenth, a day that reminds us that the promise of liberty began in 1776 but continued to unfold across generations.

From the Declaration of Independence to the events of 1865 in Texas to today, the story of American freedom is still being written.

This website supports the ARE and will give you additional resources for the whole family to expand your enjoyment, knowledge, and understanding.

Join us as we reflect, learn, and celebrate together.
